FAQ
How does your pricing work? What is included in a bundled rate?
We charge a markup percentage on top of payroll that covers all the taxes and insurance coverages. There’s no per-employee or per-paycheck surcharge nor any set-up fees.
How often do you process payroll?
We can accommodate any schedule you set. We typically process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly, but are flexible enough to be able to accommodate what a client needs.
Does ESSG provide payroll funding?
Yes! We offer a funding solution that is simple, accessible, and flows seamlessly into our payroll processing solution. Our funding solution is unique as we are the legal employer. We pay the employees and charge a markup on top of the payroll dollar for funding depending on payment terms. Any markup on top of our markup is considered the profit for our clients.
Does ESSG onboard the employee?
You onboard the employees using our software, which simplifies, streamlines, and eliminates data entry errors.
What types of jobs don’t you cover?
We have some prohibited job codes, but can accommodate a wide range of job descriptions.
Is ESSG licensed in every state?
Yes. Stop turning down orders due to state licensing limitations! With our Employer of Record (EOR) services, you can confidently accept projects across all 50 states and Puerto Rico. We handle the legal employer responsibilities, allowing you to focus on getting the job done.
How do you help my company grow and expand?
Say "yes" to more revenue! Our solution removes obstacles so you can capture orders previously out of reach due to risk, insurance, or licensing limitations.
Difference between a PEO and EOR?
PEO’s are co-employers. PEO’s require clients to carry their own workers’ compensation policies that the PEO administers on their behalf. An EOR assumes the workers’ compensation liability of the employees under the EOR’s payroll since they are the legal employer. This allows you the client to concentrate on running your business instead of worrying about the risk of claims affecting your bottom line.
Do I need to pay payroll taxes when I use ESSG?
Our Employer of Record (EOR) solution allows your employees to work under your existing accounts, while we take care of all the payroll processing and tax filings. Say goodbye to lengthy reports and hefty quarterly bills – we handle everything behind the scenes, so you can focus on running your business.
What is an EOR?
An Employer of Record (EOR) is a third-party company that acts as the legal employer for tax purposes on behalf of another business.
Do I still need to carry a workers’ compensation policy if I use ESSG?
No, we will carry the workers' comp policies on your employees. No more year end audits, monthly payroll reports, or up front deposits. This a true pay-as-you-go program. You only pay for comp when you do payroll and only for the amount you pay to the employees.
Is ESSG a staffing company?
No, ESSG holds itself as a staffing company in some contracts so we can assume contractual laibiliy. ESSG has no recruiters however and do not talk to end user companies of our staffing partners who run payroll through ESSG.
Are there setup fees?

Do you provide health benefits?
